Procedure 1: Change the display settings on the Windows operating system?
To change the display settings with Windows follow the instructions mentioned below:
- Click on the Windows start button and tap on the Window logo from the keyboard. The start menu will open.
- In control panel click on the Display icon, then Settings option, located in the lower left side of the menu.
- Click System option. You will see it in the Settings window.
- Now you will need to tap on the Adaptor tab, which is present on the left side of the Display window.
- Now scroll down to the Multiple Displays section. You will find it near the bottom of the page.
- Click on the Multiple Displays drop-down box.
- Now click on Extend These Displays, click it.
- After you click the Extend These Displays option, your TV’s screen will act as a continuation of your computer’s screen.
- Now you will be able to use your extended TV display. Now you can see the activities which you are doing in the PC as correspondence to the HD TV.
Note: The content on the PC screen will remain as it after you connected the extended the display.
Procedure 2. Steps to change Display Settings on Mac?
To change the display settings on your Mac follow the instructions mentioned below:
- Click Apple menu on your MAC machine by clicking the Apple logo in the top left corner of your PC screen.
- Click System Preferences option, located in the top of the drop-down menu, to open System Preferences window.
- Click Displays option, it will be available in the center of the System Preferences window.
- Click Displays icon in the upper left side of the window.
- Now you need to change the TV’s setting to HDMI.
- See the Scaled box and click tap on the resolution option.
