How to download MS Office Setup 2010?

The process of downloading MS Office 2010 is given below:

  1. Visit the downloading page of Office 2010: The Office Setup can be downloaded from the of MS using the product key, for finding it in an easier way.
  2. Click “Download” button: Fill the Product Key in the blank provided, select the language that is suitable for you to be easily understood and then enter a CAPTCHA. On submitting it the download will start.
  3. Wait till download completes: The time required is most likely to be one hour, but it could depend upon the office package and internet connection as well.
  4. Installing office: On completing the downloading process, installing process is started. During the installation process, the product key needs to be entered.

How to install the Office 2010?

The user can install the office 2010 setup via two methods, they are:

  1. Using DVD
  2. Using downloaded the setup

For installing the main step is to uninstall the older versions of Office as it can cause errors and problems with your files. For uninstalling the older versions, explore the Program and Features option in Control Panel. A list will load and then select the older office installation, now click on the Remove/Uninstall option and wait till completes the uninstallation process.

Using DVD:

Installation of 32-bit Office 2010:

  1. Inset the DVD into the drive, and navigate the disc drive.
  2. Click SETUP.EXE
  3. Enter the Product Key, when prompted.
  4. Click the Continue option after reading and accepting MS Software License Terms.
  5. Follow the prompts and on completing the installation, click close option.
  6. Click I want to activate the software over the Internet, in the activation wizard and follow the prompts.

For the office to work filly, you need to activate the office. If not activated while installing, may activate later via Office application by clicking: File >> Help >> Activate Product Key.

Installation of 64-bit Office 2010:

  1. Insert the Office 2010 Installation Disc.
  2. Open the disc and select the x64 folder in the installation root and then select the setup.exe.
  3. On completion of setup, continue the default installation steps as detailed above.

Using Downloaded setup:

  1. Double click the downloaded setup and click SETUP.EXE file.
  2. After prompting, enter the Product Key in the field.
  3. After reading and accepting the MS Software License Terms, select continue.
  4. Follow the prompts and click close after its complete installation.

How to activate the Office Product Key?

One can activate the office via two methods, they are as follows:

  1. Activation via Telephone
  2. Activation via Internet

Activation via Internet:

  1. Open the MS Office 2010 application.
  2. Select “File” and “Help” point.
  3. Select “Activate Product Key” over the Activation Wizard screen displayed on the screen.
  4. If no such option displayed on screen then the software has been activated already.
  5. In some cases, a user may require Product Key to activate the office 2010. Thus, users need to select an option of Activate Office 2010 online via the Internet.

Activation via Telephone:

  1. Explore the MS Office 2010 Application.

  4. If no such option displayed on screen then the software has been activated already.
  5. Select the option to activate MS Office 2010 by Telephone.
  6. A telephone number will be provided to you by MS for Activation center in user’s region.
  7. Call the number to make an approach to the center.
  8. In the Activation Wizard displayed on a screen, enter the installation ID.
  9. Enter the details required as instructed by Telephonic prompts.
  10. The user will be given a confirmation ID over the Telephonic conversation, enter that id in the field at bottom of Activation Wizard.
  11. Press “Enter”.
